The much-anticipated opening of The Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas just got bigger with the addition of the Tony-Award winning smash hit musical, Jersey Boys.  The perennially sold-out show based on the life story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons has taken Broadway by storm and now has set its sights on Las Vegas, opening on the Strip in early 2008.  The Broadway creative team, including director Des McAnuff, choreographer Sergio Trujillo, authors Marshall Brickman & Rick Elice, and The Four Seasons, will be directly involved in the Las Vegas production of Jersey Boys.  The smash hit musical follows the rags-to-riches tale of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, four blue-collar kids working their way from the streets of Newark to the heights of stardom, and features such hits as “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You,” “Oh, What a Night,” and many more.

The Planet Hollywood Theatre for the Performing Arts: An Existing 7500 seat auditorium-style venue, the Theatre for the Performing Arts at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino has been home to original shows (Hans Klok, The Beauty of Magic with special guest star Pamela Anderson), music presentations and other high-profile events such as the Miss America Pageant. Given the desire to expand the usefulness of the venue by showcasing more theatrical style and full production shows, BASE Entertainment engaged Martinez & Johnson Architecture to create a new design for the theatre. A brand new state of the art system of flexible partitioning has now been created and installed giving us the unique opportunity to reduce the number of seats from 7500 to 3200. The Planet Hollywood Theatre for the Performing Arts now serves as a viable and vibrant performance space for production shows, acts and activities varying in size and design.
