LAS VEGAS – BASE Entertainment has reached an agreement with Las Vegas Sands Corp. to be the company’s entertainment programming partner for its expanding projects in the Asia-Pacific Rim. Expanding their role, BASE Entertainment will program multiple theater and arena productions for Las Vegas Sands Corp.’s properties on Macao’s Cotai Strip and the Marina Bay Sands, an integrated resort being developed in Singapore.
The first of these projects will be a new Cirque du Soleil production scheduled to open Summer 2008 in a custom-built, 1,800-seat theater at The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel. Next, in 2009, will be a world-class theatrical production for The Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
In Las Vegas, BASE already partners with Las Vegas Sands on various projects including, Phantom – The Las Vegas Spectacular, Gordie Brown and Wayne Brady “Making It Up!” at The Venetian and Jersey Boys which will be featured at The Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino in 2008. BASE was formed in 2005 and is led by entertainment industry veterans Scott Zeiger and Brian Becker.
